CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
JAZZ
This class is a high energy form of dance that is a blend of several different styles that includes leaps and turns. Fast paced music is used to encourage attitude and fun.
• Intermediate, Advanced, and Elite jazz are for higher level dancers and require teacher approval to register.
• Attire: Leotard, tights/black leggings, jazz shoes
HIP HOP
This class is a popular form of dance that uses fast paced movements to newer music.
• Attire: T-shirt or tank top, comfortable pants/shorts, tennis shoes (please be considerate of your other dance attire if taking multiple classes)
• No slip on shoes or Crocs
• Advanced and Elite hip hop are for higher level dancers and require teacher approval to register.
BALLET
This technical form of dance teaches the fundamentals and terminology of ballet technique while developing strength, confidence, balance, and flexibility.
• Grade 1-4 ballet classes follow the Cecchetti method of instruction.
• Attire: Leotard, pink tights, pink leather ballet shoes, hair must be worn in a bun
POINTE
Pointe is for children 12 years of age or older and requires teacher approval for registration.
• Must be registered for a ballet class in order to take pointe.
• Attire: Leotard, pink tights, pointe shoes, hair must be worn in a bun
LYRICAL
This style of dance embodies various aspects of ballet, jazz, acrobatics, and modern.
• Must be registered for a ballet class in order to take lyrical.
• Intermediate, Advanced, and Elite lyrical are for higher level dancers and require
teacher approval to register.
• Attire: Leotard, tights/black leggings, half-sole lyrical shoes
TAP
This type of dance is characterized by using the sounds of metal taps on the shoes striking the floor as a form of percussion.
• Intermediate, Advanced, and Elite tap are for higher level dancers and require teacher approval to register.
• Attire: Leotard, tights, black tie tap shoes
MUSICAL THEATRE
This style of dance places a high focus on musical interpretation that is rooted heavily in the diverse history of Broadway musicals.
• Attire: Leotard, tights/black leggings, jazz shoes

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS GIRLS ONLY GYMNASTIC PROGRAMS
A/1
This class is for girls ages 5-7. They will progress to other levels based on skills acquired at this level.
Level 1
This class is for girls ages 8 and up. If a child has progressed through the skills in previous levels, they may be moved up at younger ages.
Level 2 and 3
These levels are for children that have proficiently achieved required skills to continue to move the levels with coach approval.
Dress Attire:
Girl’s Preschool – Level 5/6: ALL girls are required to wear a one-piece leotard.
They may wear shorts or leggings over their leotard. NO skirts or tutus are allowed. Hair must be restrained BEFORE entering the gym.
Girl’s Tumbling Classes: A leotard is preferred. Tight fitting t-shirt and shorts/leggings are acceptable.
Xena Warriors (NINJAS FOR GIRLS ages 5-10)
Xena Warriors-In class you will tumbling, balancing, running agility, obstacle courses.
Dress Attire: A leotard is preferred. Shorts/leggings are acceptable over the leotard.
GIRLS & BOYS TUMBLING
These classes are for children ages 8 and up. We will teach them tumbling on the floor, trampoline and tumble trac. We have various levels and required skills that are needed to move through the levels, and is based on coach recommendation.
We offer beginning, advanced beginning, intermediate, advanced and elite levels.
BOYS attire all classes: t-shirt and elastic waist banded shorts. No cargo shorts or shorts with metal.
BOYS NINJAS PROGRAMS (Ages 5-10)
In class you will learn tumbling, balancing, running agility, and obstacle courses.
Ninja Classes Attire: T-shirt and elastic waist banded shorts. No cargo shorts or shorts with metal.
